"To Everyone at Twin Oaks,

Twin Oaks was the best place I have found with quality care for my mother. Everyone is very professional yet made us feel like friends. The care she received was wonderful. She was only at Twin Oaks for 22 months but as we got to know many of you here, you became our extended family. I especially will miss coming in, seeing smiling faces, saying hi to other residents, staff and visiting her in her apartment!

The staff here is fantastic! Very welcoming and willing to help with anything and everything.

The head nurses are excellent & have a wonderful team of nurses and aides. They were compassionate, approachable, supportive and very patient while caring for my mom.

During mom’s final days, Kaitlin and Chloe stopped by and asked how we were doing. We said we were fine but it wasn’t long they showed up with soda, chips and candy to keep us going. Another day Mary Beth and Larry stopped by. Larry sang “Amazing Grace” and asked if he could pray with us, it was a very uplifting visit. It wasn’t long, Larry brought in a cart with plates of fruit, muffins and cottage cheese. We don’t know any other facility that would have supported us the way you did.

I LOVE MY BEAR! It’s such a unique gift to give to someone who has lost a loved one. I will treasure this special keepsake. Tim, you have great people working here! Thank you for allowing us to have hospice come in so mom could finish her life in her home at Twin Oaks.

From our family …to our family at Twin Oaks. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for loving her and caring for her as if she were your own.

God’s Blessings,"

"Thanks to each of you individually for your unique contributions to my dad’s life over the past 7 years. He truly adored Twin Oaks and especially the staff. Thanks to those people I don’t know by name who visited him while he was in the hospital during his roughest time. He loved to have visitors. Each of you played a special role in his life and I will be eternally grateful for your care and compassion."

"I wanted to take this opportunity to express my heart-felt thank you to you, your family, and the terrific staff at Twin Oaks. When looking for a place for mom to move to, it felt “like home” the moment we stepped into the lobby of Twin Oaks and that’s exactly what it became for mom. So many fun events and so many cherished memories that it is difficult for all of us to say goodbye."

"My dad has been at Twin Oaks for over three years now. What a blessing this has been for him and for our family. Being there has allowed him to be in the only town that is familiar to him, and more importantly, close to my sisters who can check on him frequently.

Twin Oaks has become Dad’s home, where he feels safe and secure. Since it is not possible for any of us to care for him full time, we are ever thankful that he is so well cared for in your facility. And after looking at other facilities, we all know how blessed we are to have him there.

I know that caring for the elderly is a difficult, challenging job. I admire you and your staff for the excellent job you do in caring for the people entrusted to your care. It is truly a vocation and a gift that you have been given.

We all felt at Christmas that Dad may not be able to stay at Twin Oaks any longer. Your willingness to give him a chance to stay means so much to us.

I pray that Dad will be able to continue to make Twin Oaks his home for a long time. And I pray for you and your staff that you continue to have perseverance and satisfaction in your chosen work."

"We want you to know how lucky we feel to have found your facility. Our mother moved into your facility over six months ago. Prior to that she was living alone and could no longer drive and get out for shopping, doctor appointments, etc. She became sad, withdrawn and very depressed. We began looking around and found Twin Oaks. The move was the hardest part, but your staff made it seem easy. In the last six months, Mom is now her old self again. She is happy and has made new friends. Her diet and medication are regulated, which I am sure has a lot to do with her mental outlook. Whenever we come to visit, we see that she is clean and her room is always spotless. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We have since gotten to know several of the residents and they seem just as happy as Mom is. Thank you so much for giving us back the mother that we all used to know."

"To all the staff, I was so proud to tell everyone Mom was living at Twin Oaks. It is because of each one of you. Thank you for treating your “residents” like family. I got to know some of you better but never did I see anything but LOVE and CARING from all of you. Thanks for all you personally did for Mom. You will always be in my heart."

"Thank you for all the love, care and support you’ve shown our mother and family over the last six years. It’s comforting to know true caregivers such as all of you and we couldn’t have managed the last several years without the help of each and every one of you. You are all truly a blessing!"

"This past year my mom lived at Twin Oaks Assisted Living. We call it the “Miracle of Twin Oaks”. She loved everything thing about Twin Oaks, most importantly the staff and residents….and so did we! It was her heaven on earth. Every day she looked forward to one event after another, whether it was a group singing songs from the “50s”,….. firemen visiting and providing a hotdog lunch,…. children sharing Valentines,….July 4th celebration,….going to crafts and ceramics,…. folding napkins in the dining room (and getting paid for her hard work with a bag of Cheetos)…..my Mom was very happy, and she was living a fulfilled life. She was so proud of her apartment, especially when RhoAnn would bring potential new residents to view it. My Mom would proudly kid around with Jill and me and say she was waiting to receive her commission check. The location of her apartment was ideal. She would sit outside, across from the nurses’ station, and greet and gab with everyone walking by. After her passing, several residents said, “that corner will never be the same.” To Rho Ann, Tracey, Jennifer and all the other special individuals from Twin Oaks…… “Thank you for providing these blessings to my Mom”. "There are not enough adjectives in the dictionary to express our gratitude for taking such great care of our Karen. From the very first time I saw Rho Ann talking to Karen and her daughter with such compassion; I knew that she would be coming to a very special place. I thank you and all of your amazing staff for caring for Karen. I especially want to thank you for allowing me to sop by so often to bring snacks, etc.

Your staff is such a blessing. I say first hand almost on a daily basis the kindhearted assistance Karen received from all of you.

Our family so appreciates the empathizing that all of you gave Karen. This growing old is not an easy process. All of you understand and make this time in one’s life not only bearable but actually fun. The smiles that I encountered by all of your staff, from the cleaning ladies, the cafeteria workers, the maintenance men, the incredible nursing staff made me cry at times when I would get back in my car after visiting Karen. You all deserve much more money than you make. I am happy that I was able to do some photography for you to capture those fun, incredible smiles on everyone at your marvelous parties!

But it isn’t about that. All of you are devoted to giving these fortunate people a joyful, faithful life. You have shown all of my family what true devotion means and all of you do that every day. "

"This is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. In Texas, we had a nice life, our own home, secure, and happy. We were revisited by cancer for a second time; our happy home became a hiding place. Although we were making slow progress, we were missing an important thing…living life again. Our move to Wentzville, and Twin Oaks at Heritage Pointe has brought us out of our shell. What a beautiful facility with such a friendly staff, so many things to do, and the opportunity to see and learn about the area. Exercise, salons, movies, trips and all sorts of entertainment. How nice to be on a first name bases with the Chefs. What a great place to meet and make new friends. No stress, just relaxation – Twin Oaks is our place to begin life anew. "

"We moved to Wentzville over 30 years ago and have heard people speak of the O’Fallon location many times. Unlike other facilities, I have never heard anything bad said about Twin Oaks. I was delighted to hear that Twin Oaks at Heritage Pointe was opening in Wentzville.

As Mom approached a point where it was no longer safe for her to live alone, I checked prices, services and reputations of many facilities in the area. I visited Heritage Pointe several times before making my decision. I talked to the residents as well as watched the staff as they performed their duties and interacted with the residents and with each other. The deciding factor in my case was your people. They are cheerful, friendly and helpful.

It seems to me that you have selected a good group of people that work well together and believe that their main objective is to make the residents lives happier. You have done your work well and it shows."

"I think Heritage Pointe is great! I love the people. I’ve never seen a place where everyone is so nice and kind. The facility is beautiful, the housekeeping is amazing and the care is excellent. We couldn’t ask for more! I think he’s doing well and it is a wonderful environment."

"I want to thank all of you for all you’ve done and do every day. It was very hard for me to give mom up to you. But I see how happy she is, even if she doesn’t remember it. You have brought out a side of mom we haven’t seen in a long time. It is your love and kindness that you show to all of your residents that just shines when I walk in the door. I couldn’t have picked a better place for mom but God directed me to you! Thank you."

"It is so nice to feel so comfortable and have such peace of mind when leaving my mother-in-law after a visit knowing she is being taken care of by such a wonderful and caring staff. It is also hard for me to call your staff “staff,” as they are truly more like family.

From the first time we walked into Twin Oaks at Heritage Point it was evident to me that the residents who live here are happy. We had visited other communities and she was not willing or wanting to leave her home until we visited Twin Oaks. I will NEVER forget the day of our visit. She was walking down the hallway and turned to us and said “This feels like home!”

You all were so wonderful in accommodating her wishes when she moved into her independent apartment. Since she is a gourmet cook and her kitchen and dining room were so very important to her, you helped by hanging her chandelier from her house in her second bedroom which we made into a dining room! Once she moved in, the residents welcomed her warmly with invitations to accompany them to meals and events. She has made so many friends and has become much more active!

It has been years now and she is now living in the assisted community. Again, accommodations were made to bring her precious chandelier with her and it is now proudly displayed in her living room. It is so beautiful that you made sure this piece of her home still went with her! Thank you for blessing us with your constant care and compassion. You helped make a dreaded transition into a memorable experience. You run a first class community and our lives are forever changed by your love and concern.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart."
